Discover why oil has been recognized as one of the healthiest foods there is. In an incomparable environment, in our own oil mill, located in a 13th century house in the old town of Orta, with magnificent views of the Convent of San Salvador, through a guided tasting of the monovarietal oils we produce (Empeltre, Arbequina and Picual), we will learn to differentiate the qualities of the oil that is currently on the market, we will discover what health benefits olive oil provides and we will break some of the false myths that exist today around this food.
Then we'll prepare and, most importantly, we'll eat la clotxa!, a traditional dish of the farmers of the area when they had the new oil. In la clotxa hollowed-out bread serves as a lunch box to carry herring, tomatoes and roasted garlic, which end up all the products washed down with a good spray of extra virgin olive oil.
If the experience is to be carried out on our own centuries-old olive farms, it is necessary to contact us beforehand to let us know and we will inform you of the extra cost.
